Arc Bleu, Neuchâtel

It’s January – a new year, new discoveries. I’ve made an appointment to take a course at Arc Bleu. When I arrive at the Pierre-à-bot sportsground, the place is covered in fresh snow. My excitement is growing because I’ll soon learn to shoot with a bow and arrows. The reception is cordial in every sense of the word. Luigi is a very sociable person, and he has made a fire outside so we can talk for a few minutes while warming ourselves. And off we go, equipped with bow, glove, quiver and a few arrows. I shoot my first arrows. Watching them fly is amazing. But… what exactly is the secret to hitting the target? Luigi explains some of the technical aspects, essential for achieving a good position. This takes my full concentration, but the results are almost immediate. My arrows get closer and closer to the target. But since I’m still far away from hitting the bull’s eye, I decide to book a couple of additional sessions. The adventure has only just begun!
