Musée de l'Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall Museum), Le Landeron

“We began our visit to the old market town of Le Landeron at the Musée de l’Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall Museum) in search of its history. The gothic-style Salle de la Justice caught our attention with its beauty, its murals and its furniture from the 15th to 18th century. Then we explored the maze of rooms that house the foundation’s rich collections, where discovered a cast-iron rosette from 1755, goldsmith’s works, weapons and armours, paintings and engravings. And lastly, we immersed ourselves in a model of the town from around 1680 in the film ‘Le Landeron au fil des saisons’ (Le Landeron through the seasons), which tells the story of Le Landeron over the course of one year.”
