"Leaving by boat from the small port in Les Brenets, we had no idea what lay ahead of us. We went from a normal-looking lake and plunged into a canyon with amazing cliffs surrounded by a luxuriant forest. It was a complete chance of scenery. Are we in Canada or a Norwegian fjord? The captain’s commentary included the history and some anecdotes about the river, which is full of surprises, to say the least. Once at our destination, we walked to Saut du Doubs already looking forward to the return by boat in this magical landscape."
