Areuse trail (Route no 304)
"This luscious green valley is known for a mythical beverage which became famous throughout the world: the absinthe. Today, we explore it on a tour starting in the village of Travers, accompanied by the murmuring of the Areuse river and the rustling of leaves. The scenery is just beautiful with vast cultivated fields, wild plants, and wide open spaces. We pass by the asphalt mines which stopped being exploited in 1986. Arriving in the village of Couvet, we take a well-deserved break before returning."
