"They are unbelievable – they never stop working, and they seem to be disorganised but at the same time, they appear to follow an established routine. I could spend hours watching the bees in the hive through the viewing window, because it's quite unusual to be able to get so close to them without being in danger. The explanations on the signboards taught me a lot about the way the honeycombs are organised and the special places for the pollen, the honey and the eggs. Painstaking work, and fascinating insects that I shall see in a different light from now on – although I shall still enjoy the fruits of their labour just as greedily!"
