Tourist train, Neuchâtel

  • Tourist train
  • Cloister of the Collégiale
  • Old town

"Welcomed by a smiling driver, our whole little family climbs on board the tourist train. A few minutes later, the engine rumbles into life and our journey begins. We re-discover the old town of Neuchâtel with amazement. Threading its way through pedestrians and on-lookers, the train takes us through the streets of the city and climbs to the Château and the Collégiale. There’s a 10 minute stop for the children to stretch their legs and the adults to look round these two magnificent witnesses of Neuchâtel history. When it’s time to set off again, our driver signals to us and we board the train again. We return to the Place du Port admiring the charms of the Quartier de la Main and the shores of the lake… The children are already asking me: “Mum, when we are going on that little train again?"
