"Our cheerful troop of gentlewomen, squires and knights approaches the torch-lit drawbridge, impatient to enjoy the famous mediaeval evening our friend has been telling us about for months. In the storeroom, an aperitif of long-ago awaits us and we’re invited to roll up our sleeves for a hilarious crossbow session. Then, it’s time for a feast in the magnificent Salle des Chevaliers where, just once won’t hurt, we’re allowed to eat with our fingers, including the tasty piglet brought in whole on poles.
