"The sun is shining and illuminating the beautiful yellow stones of Neuchâtel. The Market Place is full and there’s a real holiday atmosphere on its terraces. It’s like a picture post card with the 16th century Maison des Halles standing out against a cloudless blue sky. As we pass through narrow streets, we come to the splendid Banneret fountain then, a few steps further, we’re on the square in front of the Collégiale admiring the roofs of the town and the lake. We’re led to the courtyard of its neighbour, the Château, to visit a few rooms. Then, we walk down into the town centre to see its fountains and Hôtel de Ville, ending the tour at the splendid Palais DuPeyrou."
