"We’re immediately impressed by the way the museum fits perfectly into its lakeside environment. Once inside, we’re immersed in the everyday life of our predecessors. Everything is done to get us close to the objects on display and we’re overwhelmed by so many works of art and craft. We continue our journey back in time in semi-darkness, as light is shed on increasingly ancient ways of life. Our favourite is the 20 m Gallo-Roman barge, discovered in the region, then the video on under-water digs. On the way out, to stretch our legs, we stroll to the pool that simulates the old level of the lake and go and see the rebuilt hut. A great success! "
