Visit #Jura3Lakes on

Areuse museum, Boudry

We begin our tour with the permanent exhibition. While we move among the unique display cases of this room, the guide explains the museum’s history and randomly picks objects to tell us their amazing stories. There are hundreds of objects on display, including a stuffed fox, a shark, archaeological pieces gathered on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, a mask from Africa, and ancient playing cards. I come out of this visit fascinated and still immersed in a past when cinema didn’t exist and when museums opened up the world through objects.
