"As soon as the coach reached the first streets, we realized that there was something special about the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds. When we got to the centre, at Avenue Léopold-Robert, our guide was ready and waiting for us. An initial overall view of the town from an outlook tower gave us a good idea of its layout, and we went on to visit a spectacular former indoor riding school, buildings steeped in history and prestigious monuments, all accompanied by a stream of anecdotes about this region and its famous sons (Le Corbusier, Chevrolet and Cendrars). As the guided tour confirmed, our first impression had been spot on!"
